Saudi Gypsum Production Expansion Highlights Material Handling Needs

Saudi Arabia’s gypsum industry continues to expand as local producers invest in new and upgraded gypsum board production capacity.

In February 2025, National Gypsum Company announced the start of trial production following the development and modernization of its gypsum board production line in Riyadh. According to the company’s Saudi Exchange disclosure, the upgraded line is designed to reach an annual production capacity of approximately 15 million square meters.

Another Saudi producer, United Mining Industries Company, announced on December 17, 2025 that commercial production had started on its new gypsum board production line. The company stated that the initial financial impact of the project was expected to appear from the first quarter of 2026.

Higher Production Places More Focus on Material Handling
