Saudi Arabia Gypsum Plant Chevron Conveyor Belt Project | BEDROCK

Project Overview

A gypsum processing plant in Saudi Arabia required a more stable conveyor belt for an inclined material handling section connecting the crushing and storage areas.

The conveyor transported crushed gypsum and fine gypsum material on an inclined route. The previous flat rubber conveyor belt worked adequately on horizontal sections, but material rollback and spillage became increasingly noticeable as the conveying angle increased.

Fine gypsum particles accumulated around the conveyor structure, while larger pieces occasionally slipped backward on the belt surface. This required frequent cleaning around the conveyor and made it difficult to maintain a consistent material flow during continuous production.

After reviewing the conveying angle, material characteristics and existing conveyor configuration, BEDROCK recommended a C25 Chevron Conveyor Belt to improve material grip and conveying stability on the inclined section.

Provocatio

Processus gypsum generat mixturam materialis concussi irregularis et pulveris tenuis. Cum haec materialia in cingulo inclinato transportantur, cingulus planus conventionalis fortasse non praebet adhaesionem superficialem sufficientem.

Fabrika inclinata sectione plures operationis difficultates experiens est.

Materies gypsii tenuis retro movere tendebat cum onus convectoris crescebat, dum particulae maiores interdum ad partem inferiorem convectoris volvuntur. Materies etiam in utrisque lateribus structurae convectoris accumulabatur.

BEDROCK Selectio Cingulorum

Ex dispositione convectoris et ex proprietatibus materiae gypsii, BEDROCK suaserat C25 Chevron Conveyor Belt ad sectionem convectoris inclinatae.

Cingulum C25, dissimile cinguli plani communis, profilia caoutchucosa elevata (altitudine circa 25 mm) in superficie portante utitur.

Haec profilia auxiliantur ad contactum et sustentationem additam inter cingulum convectorem et materiam convectam creandam.

Ad gypsum fractum, haec constructio motum retrogradum minuit, cum convector in inclinato operatur.

Constructio cinguli suasa utiebatur Carcasse EP textili , quae aequilibrii inter robur tractionis, flexibilitatem et resistentiam ad onerationes repetitas praebet.

Copermentum caoutchucosum selectum est pro normali resistentia ad abrassionem, quia particulae gypsii et materia confracta continue superficiem cinguli tangunt dum operatur.

Installation and Conveyor Adjustment

Installing a chevron conveyor belt alone does not completely solve inclined conveying problems.

The conveyor system was therefore reviewed together with the belt installation.

Sectiones de effusione et de reditu fuerunt inspectae ad minuere accumulationem de gypsum in parte de reditu de cinghia de translatio.

Haec adiustamenta permiserunt cinghiam chevron operari efficacius sine necessitate magnarum mutationum in structura actuali de cinghia de translatio.

 

Resultatum Operativum

Postquam sectio inclinata cingulo convectore Chevron C25 erat munita, motus materiae stabilior factus est.

Profila elevata subsidium additum praebuerunt tam gypsio comminuto quam materia subtiliori in transportu inclinato.

Operatoribus minus retrogressio materiae in condicionibus onerandi normalibus observata est, dum accumulatio materiae sub cingulo convectore inclinato minuebatur.

Mellior adhaesio materiae etiam permisit cingulo convectore ut constantius rationem alimentandi servaret, sine necessitate velocitatis cinguli nimiae.

Overall conveyor stability improved

Instead of increasing conveyor speed or rebuilding conveyor structure, changing belt surface design offered a relatively straightforward way to enhance performance of existing system.
